Let’s Take Care of Our Neighbors
At its heart, this season is about connection, compassion, and taking care of one another—especially those who need it most.
This year, giving back to our community is more than a feel-good idea for me; it’s a commitment.
When you buy a new home or sell your current one with me, I will donate $750 to a local nonprofit making a real difference. It’s my way of paying it forward and honoring the incredible neighbors and organizations who work year-round to lift others up.
There are three nonprofits that are particularly near and dear to my heart:
Building Goodness Foundation does exactly what its name suggests—builds goodness in the world. They construct and renovate homes, schools, clinics, and community spaces for underserved communities. Their work spans right here in Charlottesville as well as in Haiti and Guatemala. Safe, dignified spaces change lives, and this organization is making that happen every day.
Founded by my extraordinary friend, midwife and certified prison doula Sara Zia, the Virginia Prison Birth Project provides skilled, compassionate support to pregnant and postpartum people who are incarcerated. Their work ensures dignity, advocacy, and care during one of life’s most vulnerable moments.
For my fellow animal lovers, Dogs Deserve Better Blue Ridge is doing truly incredible work. They rescue dogs from chains, pull at-risk dogs from shelters, and provide resources and education to help families care for their pets. Their approach is rooted in compassion—for both animals and the people who love them.
Giving Back, Together
If there’s a nonprofit that’s close to your heart, I’d love to support it. Just let me know, and your $750 donation can go there instead. This is about building community together and making sure our success creates real, meaningful impact.
Let’s make this season of giving one that lasts all year.
Let’s give back—to our neighbors, our community, and the causes that make our world a little better.
